SaveItUp1998
I did cat mint. Ripped it out after one summer once I saw all the warnings. Little tiny bastards are popping up everywhere đ„Č

very nice there! you and the bees can enjoy it and it won’t go crazy in the yard.
Hayernator2207
Its not that it wont grow, its that it grows too much. It will swamp everything around it and youll never get rid of it
heckhunds
Yeah, the warning is because it grows TOO well, not that it won’t thrive. Looks like you have it in a nice spot, assuming there’s pavement or a structure all the way around. Should be nicely contained there! It isn’t invasive in an ecological sense, it just takes over gardens and smothers everything else.

I have a mint plant myself and now I’ll refrain myself!

Ours is taking over too lol
witchminx
Yeah because you just unleashed a biological weapon on your neighborhood that will never be containable
itsintrastellardude
looks like you have an endless supply of mint infused everything!
Scroll-Trellis
The reason they say that is because it can spread in an invasive way to places you don’t want it. Yours looks pretty well contained though!

Perfect time to start making teas and essential oils, bug repellent, ect ect. Lol…yeah that shit grows TOO good.

Helps keep rats and mice away from your home so why not? Plant more.
totthetree
the nice thing about where you have it is that it’s pretty locked up so it shouldn’t be invasive. be careful though if you care about it cuz in my experience it will kill itself with its own toxins eventually since it cannot spread.
Salt_Course1
Now you have cracked mint growing.

Oh that mint will be doing just fine in the ground, between the pavers, around the bend and everywhere else. I plant mint with lemon balm so they keep each other in check.
stefaelia
My ex put lemon balm in my front garden beds. Iâve been pulling that crap for 3 years now.
I learned a couple months ago that lemon balm is in the mint family. It explains so much.

I swear itâs a crap shoot. I have never been able to grow mint, and I have really really tried. When I tell people, theyâre like, âWhaaatt???â I cannot grow mint. I have tried. Mint hates me.
