Phoenix is a pet and one of five pets available in Grow a Garden’s Fairy Update expansion, added on September 6, 2025. If you’re hoping to add the elusive Phoenix to your collection, here’s a breakdown of all the important information you need to know, the chances of getting it, its rarity, and what its unique abilities are.
How to Get a Phoenix in Grow a Garden
The Phoenix is a pet that’s exclusive to the Enchanted Chest in Grow a Garden. It’s also a Divine pet with a 1% chance of appearing from this chest. This makes it the least likely pet you’ll get from this chest, even though it’s still tied with the Aetherfruit seed.
How to Get an Enchanted Chest
You can get an Enchanted Chest in the following two ways:
During the Fairy Event expansion update, you can enter the Fairy World through a Fairy Ring portal. You can then buy an Enchanted Chest from the Luminous Sprite, near the center of the Fairy World. They’ll only sell it to you once you’ve caught enough fairies to unlock it. It’ll also cost 15,000 Fairy Points to buy. The second method likely to be more common is crafting an Enchanted Chest at the green fairy crafting table. This is back on the normal island, near the center, where the Fairy Godmother is. You’ll need 1 Sunbulb, 1 Enchanted Seed Pack, 1 Enchanted Egg, and 6,000 Fairy Points.What Does the Phoenix Do in Grow a Garden?
The Phoenix has the unique ability to apply the Flaming Mutation on four random fruit in your garden, once per seven minutes. The fun part is that while it travels between those random fruits, it also has a 21% chance to mutate other fruits it passes nearby too. In addition to this, pets taken from the pet mutation machine have a bonus one to five age added to their age value.
