I have a very forgiving pothos plant on my patio. A few months ago, I trimmed it back because it was getting a little unruly. Since then, one of the vines has thickened much more than the others and even started attaching itself to the wooden fence. Recently, that vine peeled away from the fence under its own weight. Itâs noticeably thicker than the rest of the plant. Why is this happening, and what should I do about it?

Are you ok with it getting large and attaching to the fence? It could go very large and beautiful with some support to take the weight off.. some moss on the fence to grow even thicker aerial roots? Idk depends on what u want
Looks like it’s trying to thrive and attach to something for more growth. Could keep trimming it or give it something better to attach to đ
Looks like a happy healthy plant. Nothing wrong with it. What matters is how you feel about it growing on the fence or not
In its natural environment, they grow up trees. As they grow upwards, they mature and increase in size. This is a beautiful example of a pothos maturing. You are an amazing plant parent!
I would go chop and extend with this one. Put it back on a moss pole and let it climb back up again. All my moss pole plants will have that fate one day
This shoot is an excellent specimen for growing on a moss pole.
Thick? Oh you ainât seen nothinâ yet lol.
