(I’m aware the jade plant is toxic, this isn’t my house, thankfully he has been largely uninterested in it) I’m moving into a new apartment, and I’m interested in developing a garden to keep my plant-loving cat entertained. He LOVES cat grass and will spend about an hour per day mowing the lawn. He enjoys sitting amongst the pots and looking out the window.

I’m hoping to create enclaves for him to hide in and “hunt”: thinking big leafy bushy (fishbone prayer? calathea)

Yummy things to eat (cat grass most likely)

And something to vine around the vertical spaces/trees (ivy of some sort)

I’m wondering if any other cat owners have any suggestions/tips on curating a cat-interaction based garden?

Chlorophytum commosum (spider plant) is one they can chew on. Possibly mildly sedating or hallucinogenic, but supposedly safe. I have to keep two. One out of reach to cats & the other gets switched out with the untouched one when it gets so chewed it needs to recover a while.
