I’ve had her for 5 months, I’ve never owned house plants before. She was a gift from my mum and I don’t want her to die! She is yellowing and has grown LOADS. I tend to feed her every other day with water. She is in the kitchen windowsill which has light in the morning. I have read about plants becoming root bound and think she is.. shall I repot?! How do I do this without stressing her out? Thanks!

EDIT: When I lifted her out of the pot, there was water left over. Have I overwatered? There was an eggy smell coming from the water!

looks like it’s time to repot. to avoid stressing it, don’t mess with the roots too much. get a pot about 2” larger in diameter than the one it’s in now and add about an inch or 2 of soil, take it out just like you did for the 2nd photo and plop it in the new pot, then fill in the space around it with soil.

make sure to get a soil that has good drainage since you water so often. peace lillie’s do like their water but they’re also susceptible to root rot because of it. you want to make sure the soil has enough time to dry out enough to avoid rot
