Hey gardening friends, as our summer gardens start to wind down and we harvest all of the wonderful fruits of our labor, it’s time to start our fall garden. And here are some of the seedlings that I’ve started. So right here I have collards. Actually two variety of collards, mama blue and top bunch 2.0. I have broccoli. I have two types of tomatoes. So, this is going to be a little bit of an experiment to see if I can get uh tomatoes before my first frost. This is also a good time to start uh flowers, perennials for next year and get them in the ground this year. So, here I have some coropsis called double sunburst. I have a little milkweed. This is called magic carpet. It’s a a type of thyme. This is a California poppy. Canterberry bells, white swan echgonatia. I only got one seed to germinate, so I’m still very happy about that. And there’s a little bit of chundula. And then this is a famma uh deep blue scabiosa. So, just started a few perennials to get into the garden this fall so they’ll be ready for next spring. Okay, the first thing is we’re going to plant these tomatoes. I’m going to plant one of each variety. One variety is called Bush Beef Steak and then the other one is called Sophie’s Choice. And these are both uh bush or indeterminate tomatoes. And they’re I don’t know somewhere around 50 or 60 day tomatoes. I have about 70 days or so remaining before my first frost date. So, I want to see if I can get any tomatoes this fall. We’ll see. [Music] I’ll take the healthiest seedling, which will be this one, and we’ll we’ll just plant it a little deeper than it was in its tray. And then for Sophie’s choice, I only have one seedling, so I really don’t have much of a choice. [Music] So, these seedlings are really small and I’m probably transplanting them a little too soon, but we’ll see how it goes. This is broccoli. [Music] Happy gardening.
