Hi so I got this fig probably 7 years ago and it’s just leggy and droopy. I put a bamboo stick in for support a couple of years ago but recently I had thrips on another plant and I treated the fig a few days ago. I took it outside to treat it and I shook the pot because I read that would be good since it has such skinny trunks. Ever since then it got even droopier. This is a west facing window and I also have a grow light above. First two pics are with the support, second ones without. I’m thinking of just chopping it off but not sure how close to soil or if this is even effective. Probably need a new type of soil as well since this is just regular potting mix. Thanks for any advice!

I suggest chopping them back..just keep 4 stumps(all at 1-1.5ft tall)..they’ll bud again in several weeks+
..DO IT ASAP…Winter is coming SOON!
..and put the pot on a plant stand/stool/table..etc. let them get more sunlight(natural light is better than artificial light)..
..water them thoroughly each time(water them once every 7-10days)..and DON’T KEEP EXCESS WATER IN BROWN SAUCER AFTER WATERING..because this water can cause root rot
