Yesterday was reaching nearly 38°C/100°F and I was out all day. The east facing pitchers are doing relatively well but the other side of my plant is pretty cooked 😥. I might need to use shade cloth for the rest of this upcoming week. Should I just let the burnt leaves die off on its own?

Yeah. They’re not completely dead and they will still provide photosynthesis. I keep my sarracenia in a spot that gets afternoon shade.

They’ll be fine. Just cut back when completely dried and brown.

  3. I live in Texas and really want to make a bog outside, but my fear is that the Texas summers which regularly get to above 100 will cook it. Would a shade cloth help?

I legit fried mine in heat and let it run a bit dry a few weeks back(they were all brown/crunchy) and after maybe 10-14 days of rewatering and a trim they’re back in full swing and look like new.
