Hey!
I bought a relatively cheap hydroponic planter on amazon last month. Everything's growing a lot faster than I was expecting and I didn't really plan past germination. Do I need to consider replanting these? Would they want soil or should I buy a larger hydroponic kit? Or are they OK as they are? The lamp head can extend another ~15cm.
Ive got basil, chillis, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, corgette and cucumber.
Thank you!

You need to cover the growing media (the sponge). If you don’t have stickers, such as the ones that come with Aerogarden and the like, you can use foil. Leaving the sponge exposed leads to a lot of algae growth.
I wait until my plants are touching the light before I move it up. What type of nutrients are you using?
Corgetttes are what we in the US call zucchini, right? I’m not sure if there’s a cultivar small enough for a tabletop system like that but maybe others can chime in. I have some young quick snack cucumber seedlings in my pod systems (ahopegarden 44 pd and a 60 pod) but they have much bigger reservoirs than a tabletop system. Even my small tabletop system is 6.5 L so I suspect you’re going to be filling your reservoir, possibly even a couple of times a week with heavy feeders like zucchini, cucumber, tomato, and peppers in that one system
You need about 3m x 3m area for the plants that you started.
