Hey y’all,

I just received these in shipment from Amazon and was wondering if they are dying or if they need to be watered. I haven’t done anything with them yet as I’ve just unpackaged them this morning.

Oh yes definitely!!! When I get my online orders first thing they do is get watered generously. And your caput medusa is showing the signs of thirst as the ends of his leaves are curled(this is a good marker or indication that this type needs water).

If these are your first ones I suggest misting or quick dunks only for the caput as water gets very easily trapped inside and you won’t know it until too late. Either way give them a good misting with water that isn’t de-mineralized or treated tap water and set them in a semi-low light place for a few days so they can acclimate from shipping.

Yea to both, but be careful with your Tillandsia caput-medusae, I think it is blooming. Medusae is very sensitive to water, be sure you let the plant dry out quick within 2 hours.

And be very careful not to wet the bloom
