Manual irrigation valve for either a sprinkler or a dripline for the plants

Irrigation solenoid valve. It operates a zone of your irrigation system.

It’s a 24v solenoid, guarantee the valve itself is buried. Zoom in on the valve, at the top you see “on” “off” directions on it….

This is not a manual valve, it is not a lighting switch… It’s a POWERED irrigation control valve….

It controls sprinklers or drip irrigation. There should be a controller somewhere, most likely in the garage, that you can use to turn it on and off according to a schedule.

An irrigation solenoid valve powered by a controller. You can test it manually by turning the coil (the thing on the top connected to the wires). The little tab with the arrows shows you how to twist it to open the valve, you should hear it clunk to life. A good system should have an isolation valve, so if that solenoid stays open and needs fixing, you can just shut off the water to the watering system. An isolation valve usually is a ball valve with a big handle, usually also in a valve box, or under a garden tap.
