Honestly calathea aren’t as hard as what people make them out to be. I’m not sure what’s causing crispy leaves, however I do see what looks to be like spider mite damage in picture #2. What’s your fertilizer routine looking like? How’s the humidity?

Meanwhile I started my plant journey in 2022 and still have the alocasias from that year and then some. Never lost one. Killed MANY of every other aroid tho. Not these days tho
