I recently (about a month ago) transitioned my thai con to leca as i couldn’t seem to avoid to root rot even when the soil was dry as a bone. It’s done very well in the leca set up i had it in and was popping out lots of new roots but the pot was just a littttle too small and it was black so i couldn’t see the roots.
When i changed it from the old pot to this jar it did have one or two small roots that had rot, but i believe that was because i missed some soil at the very top of the roots. I cleaned the roots as thoroughly as i could (about 98% of the soil) without damaging them and cut off the few roots that had rot, but like i said it had a lot of new roots popping out as well and the rest of the roots were very white and looked healthy.
This jar doesn’t have any drainage, which isn’t optimal, but all my clear pots were either too small or much too big for this plant.
I left about 2 inches of leca at the bottom for drainage so the roots wouldn’t be sitting in water and dusted the roots/ bottom of the stem with some rooting powder to encourage more root growth and healing as when i originally transitioned it i did have to chop quite a bit of roots off.
The leca currently is wetter than it generally is as i rinsed it off with a 4 to 1 mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide to avoid spreading any rot. It is in an east facing window and has supplemental full spectrum grow lights as well for about 10 hours a day.
So far in the other pot it hasn’t seemed to experience any transplant shock, drooping, or browning of the leaves so i’m hopeful it’s going to do well.
Is this set up alright until the roots grow out or should i change it?

forgot to mention- it also has started to pop out an aerial root!
I don’t know about leca but your little baby leaves are so cute.
I would provide a bigger pot. I don’t have Monsteras on Leca but all my alocasias are and for a plant that likes to climb you are going to have to figure out a way to support it.
It will do great. Once the roots have really come I , just move to a much bigger planter with a moss pole. Mine loves it!!!
