Me in 2022: It won’t live long, but it will be fun to have a carnivorous plant for a few weeks. Plant in 2025: Mom, I need a bigger pot, again😜!

I haven't invested in a special substrate and pot for carnivorous plants yet… I honestly think they like to be neglected. All I know about them is to put distilled water on them. As a substrate, I used perlite, orchid moss, and the soil it had in the pot when I bought the plant. Is it time to invest in a specialized substrate and pot, or should I just keep improvising?
