Want to plant some stuff inbetween the burning bushes but can’t figure out what.
Area is facing east with sun in the morning until noonish, then shade all day.
What part of the country are you. Also for natives consult your conservation dept.

FYI, burning bush is a noxious invasive plant in many areas. If you see it in the wild near you it is definitely something to avoid planting.
It will need heavy pruning to stay small enough in the spot, right? It’s famous for amazing fall color and winter berries, right?
Does it have spring or summer flowers? Does it carry colorful fruit through summer? Fill those seasonal gaps with the new plants. Search for plants that tolerate full sun to partial shade since the area gets full sun but not a full day’s of sun. [2 hours of sun is considered shade, 2-6 hours is partial shade and over 6 hours is full sun.] Find ones that will stay shorter than the window sills without having to be hacked down constantly like the burning bush. So search terms are your USDA zone, state, shrub, partial shade.

What’s your hardiness zone? Are you looking for evergreens, deciduous shrubs, something colourful, something scented, something that flowers…? What’s your soil like? I think it might be clay ? People can probably help if you can provide a few more details.

You made it this far. Don’t rush the planting. I would recommend taking it all the way and removing the burning bush’s, and redoing that whole garden bed. Then plant whatever you want, it’s a nice spot and just adding bushes will make it feel half assed. I personally would put a upright Japanese maple on either corner or between the windows and design around that with flowering perennials and natives
