The garden of the property I'm renting in Cape Town was pretty much barren (other than two large frangipani trees) when I moved in, and over time I've slowly been populating it with plant material either grown from cuttings or seeds. But I work in garden design, and sometimes clients need plant clearing done. A terrible waste to toss perfectly healthy plants, so I grabbed as much as I could carry after my meeting. Thinking of going back for seconds. ðŸ¤
I know it's a bromeliad, but the species I'm less certain of. Thinking Neoregelia, but please shout if you know otherwise.
The smaller one is Crassula multicava, a useful and tough shade tolerant groundcover native to South Africa. Super easy to propagate from cuttings – you can literally just stick them into soil.
