I got this FLF about 4 months ago. It has had Edema on new leaves since i got it, but once the leaves mature the spots dissappear. I planted with a mix of well draining soil, orchard bark and perlite. For 3 months I was watering once a week, 2 cups of water with FLF fertilizer added per directions.. I also had a humidifier running in the room. When I found out that overwatering and humidity can cause Edema I have since only given one cup of water a week, thinking I'd fix the problem but I still have Edema. I would like advice please on how to approach this with some watering guidelines.

I feel like I’ve heard other things, but for my flf (pictured somewhere on my profile), I pretty much let her dry all the way out because of edema (sometimes 2 weeks or more). Not an expert just what’s worked for me! I imagine if I gave her more light she’d need more water. Maybe it’s about finding balance?
Edema on new leaves is pretty common and mostly fine if it goes away. However your watering isn’t what I would advise! You don’t want to water on a schedule but when the soil is dry when you stick your finger in it. Not bone dry just dry in the first inch or two.
When you water you want to drench it all the way through until the water runs out the bottom. Watering only a little at a time is like giving it only a sip of water when it needs a full drink!
Watering until water runs through helps grow healthier, more evenly distributed roots. If you only water a little at a time the roots stay just at the surface where the water is. Water to the bottom and they will reach evenly through the pot allowing for more support and absorption.
