It’s probably been there since i moved in 6 years ago, but i only just noticed the pop of pink! Found out it’s a Syngonium. Anyone know the variation?

I’m always looking for cool plants to put in my vivarium. Is this one worth taking a cutting and bringing indoors?

thanks!

It’s a syngonium podophyllum “berry allusion.” It’s pretty commonly found in outdoor hanging baskets (you know, the premade ones you can buy at hardware and grocery store garden centers) due to its splash of color and vining tendencies, but you can definitely grow it indoors too. It likes humidity and bright, indirect light.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one look like that, it looks like a white butterfly mixed with mango allusion, maybe just a lighter variety of the mango allusion?

Edit: I’d definitely take a prop, it’s gorgeous!

So pretty! I would for sure take a cutting or two

It looks like my pink arrowhead plant when it has too much or not enough light lol

Many people do take it in. I don’t like them.

I bought this exact plant sold as an indoor tropical this summer. It’s so pretty and incredibly fast growing. It came in a 2” pot. It immediately needed a 4” upgrade and it’s only 6 weeks later and it’s ready for a 6”. Been in my shade balcony. Gets some dappled morning sun. And maybe a few strands in late afternoon. I love it

Syngoniums are one of my favorite houseplants! My house doesn’t have the best light and my syngoniums do well over the winter when I have to keep them inside. They are also pretty tolerant of a little under/over watering. Most importantly, I have yet to kill one lol
