Started the renovation/overseeding/leveling process this weekend. 8/23
Weather is looking great around here, zone 5b, southern Wisconsin.

Started out a few weeks ago, nuked some undesirable grass and some weeds that didn't die over the summer. Ordered seed.

Scalped down lawn and bagged/raked up clippings and thatch.

Was supposed to get aerated Friday morning, but the guy didn't show up, so maybe another time lol

Ordered 2 yards of topsoil, and 2 tons of gravel(for a separate project)

Started getting the neighbors attention as I dumped dirt all over my lawn and started leveling out low spots and areas I killed off.

Seeded with Twin Cities Seed Blue Resilience, fertilized with Scott's Triple Action Build for Seeding

Hooked up 6 hoses and sprinklers on timers, and we are off and running!

Just started a few days ago with the overseeding. Not sure if I started too soon before the big cool down. Southern wi. Need to aerate. This lawn is almost rock hard. Any other suggestions? I’m overseeding to knock out crab grass and huge patches of clover.

Get er done, sounds like you’re off to a good start. Post some progress pics, hopefully a carpet of turf. But for better or worse some post game analysis is good, we are all always learning.

I need to take some before pictures. I was too tired today by the time I got done.
