I find they produce better quality, not as big though. HPs just make em massive I think but you don’t get as good quality.

The trick was HPS to start the switching to Metal Halide but that was 40 years ago with rock wool and bat guano.

Good stuff man! LED’s weren’t even around when I was growing it was T-5 / MH for veg and HPS for the flower. Beautiful healthy ladies by the way! Happy growing to you..

I have a 5×5 tent currently have a 1000watt double ended HPS but I only run it at 600w and 750w for a little while, so majority of the flower its at 600w. Looking to upgrade to an LED, should I use the 5×5 730 watt version of that light? Or do you think that light would be good enough for a 5×5 tent with 9 autoflowers at a time?

Hell yeah man thats what i want to hear. I just bought some good quality leds after using hps for 4 years. Im keen to see how they go. Do you have problems with the humidity now using the leds?

Yeah I used to grow for about 12 years up until 2009 I believe and of course I used HPS for flower and MH for veg. They sure did well.
But now I just started to grow again legally this time lol. And of course I made the switch to LED. I’m still early in veg but so far I’m impressed. I was a bit worried at first. The only thing is my grow space is 4 x 5 and I have one 400 watt LED. I don’t think it’s going be quite enough during flowering so I’m thinking of supplementing with 400 watt MH I have laying around during flowering. Or maybe just order another LED, I think 300 watts would suffice.

They look really fucking good honestly, and I have been wondering about how much I need to support them and if I need to take more off but I’m letting em run.

Been rocking my Mars Hydro TS 600 since I started, worked so great I got a second one. At $60 it’s very manageable for a 2×2

Couple grow buds refused to believe they were worth anything & swore by HPS/metal halide but had their minds blown just like you. Modern LED’s give you better bud, bigger yields, and heavily reduce your electric.
I know people personally that reject the new tech so much they just quit growing entirely when they hiked the electric prices. Paying 500-600 to run everything necessary when you can easily drop that 60-70%. Better late than never.
