Hi everyone!
A friend grew this from a seed from a mystery dried seed pod. I don’t know the story behind the seed pod. They said the seed pod looked like a dark brown ear.
Google image search hasn’t been much of a help to me here. An image of the plant itself IDs as a mimosa tree. Searching the description of the seed pod suggests something entirely different.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Looks like a sensitive fern. What happens when you touch it?
Enterolobium cyclocarpum
Seed pod description is perfect for this!

Possibly some type of wild pea?
Reminds me a lot of some partridge pea I planted earlier this year, though it’s not an exact match… I don’t think. Although it does have yellow flowers, which it looks like a yellow flower is starting to open up.
It looks like a mimosa seedling to me
Almlost certainly Mimosa pudica
