My monstera is probably around 5 years old. Repotted it last around 3 years ago. Now there’s a bulb in here! What is it??

Is it outside? Looks like a squirrel buried a walnut

Looks like a walnut… the roots of the monstera are simply wrapped around it.

Damn squirrels. Larger plants like this can handle digging, but my bonsai can’t. I’m locked in an eternal battle with the little plant wrecking, twitchy-tailed rats.

That squirrel is gonna raise hell cause you stole its nut

Please for the sake of science, plant it or put it in some water fresh daily.

    If it’s hard that it

So what happens might be a gorgeous plant or it might just die. Be cool if it’s sprouts tho

Do you have kids? Might not need squirrels.

It really is a walnut. I am guessing it was in the soil, compost or bagged mix. I have encountered them especially with organic soil.

Looks like a squirrel hid a couple walnuts

My plants outside often have walnuts “hidden” in them. 🙃 they love our walnut tree
