Wouldn’t be that hard. Probably need a small crane to do it easy. A few thousand should be enough, but I’m sure you could do it for less.

I’m assuming the trees were being taken out anyway…. At least I hope!

This would be expensive unless you have a tractor on hand.

Also, this will rot over time… probably pretty quickly actually, and tip over.

Soooo would not recommend to do this just cause.

You could build something like this out of concrete that would last pretty well if don’t correctly

I’d buying a real “flowering tree” before attempting this 😂

This is an old photo from Pinterest. Not sure who posted it and said they knew the person that made it. It’s one of those legendary posts.

  5. Wouldn’t be all that difficult to do with a mini-excavator. 1 day rental for $350 or so around here.

Could do most all of the work with just the one machine. Dig the hole, position the tree with the cut side toward the hole, push it into place, then partially lift it with some straps/chain as you move it toward and down into the hole.

Completely agree though… with constant watering… likely a fairly limited lifespan. Maybe 5 years? Give or take depending on the species of the tree.

Saw a ton of these at Glacier Gardens in Juneau, AK. Pretty cool but it’s a lot of work from what I saw.

There’s a place in Juneau Alaska called the Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure where one guy I believe it was did this to many trees that had, for one reason or another, died and/or fell over. It was pretty cool and I would recommend the tour for anyone who likes botanical gardens and things like that if you’re ever visiting. Also worth looking up their website to see their picture gallery and the employees might be happy to help you with any questions about this practice.

I mean, it looks beautiful! Don’t think I’d ever do that though
