Nova here too. I only need ~2cu yard of good top soil, and none of the spots here seem to deliver that. Potentially Rock Stone Sand Yard, but we’ll see. The others all seem to have 5cu yard minimum :/ Not wanting bags… but may be forced to.

That license plate is awesome haha

Why did you choose Twin City Seed Co? They’re right down the road from me and they’re on my shortlist of seed providers for an upcoming reno.

Just moved here (NoVa) last fall from a real southern zone. Is Labor Day the preferred timing for overseeding in 7a? I ordered some twin cities blue resilience last week so hopefully should be good to go but wasn’t sure the timing here.

Im in southern, va and seeded two days ago, the low 80s and 60 nights are perfect weather. Want more time to fill in areas as needed. I seeded 50lbs in front yard and have 50 more lbs for back yard in a few weeks
Man I really am jealous of you northern grass folks.
100 pounds of seed would cost me $1600 for centipede.
Most times I just make plugs from my back yard area to fill in wherever it is needed, but I’d love to be able to do a real seeding for a change.

Did twin city seed do a heavy marketing push recently? They’re seemingly all over this subreddit. I feel like in past growing seasons it wasn’t such a uniform recommendation. I’m still working with my new Millenia from Stover.

We overseed on Labor Day? Taking notes now…

All the TTTF I just looked at was $195 a 50lb bag???? Ooof, robbery. I buy local in Maryland for $95 a bag. I have 1.5 acre, so am not spending 400+ on seed.
