Bought my first house and finally have room for a compost set up


I’ve been using the tumbler for a couple of weeks but have enough green material with all the landscaping I’m doing that it was worth adding the geobin.

    Awesome! Now ,start saving cardboard, newspaper, and woodchips to keep your ratio right. From the picture it doesn’t appear that you will have a large leaf deposit.

    With the tumbler you can go heavy carbon if you keep it wet. With the other stationary one, I think heavy carbon again!
    I have two like these now, because I am old and also don’t have as much space. I kinda stopped using the tumbler for anything fresh (scraps), and now do lasagna in the bin, and finish it in the tumbler with my wheelbarrow underneath to collect any droppings.

    All in all ,I have been disappointed with most of my tumbler attempts. But, not a bad finisher if you keep it moist.

    Not enough you need more. Also, you have to pee on it.

    Just balance the tumbler ratios and keep moist, my tumbler never goes anaerobic and mine works great. 🌿
