It wasn't here at first and now it's covering the earth over two pots. I'm scared it will spread and kill my plants. My space doesn't get much sun, I water them daily. I use a generic earth I bought from the market.

And since we're at it, how can I learn to be a better gardener? I'm terrible at it

I’m not a huge wealth of knowledge, but i think it’s a kind of fungus. It’s on a bunch of my plants and it hasn’t hurt them yet, i wouldn’t worry. If it bothers you, i’d just flip the soils every once in a while

  2. Can you take closer pictures? It look like mineral deposits for me, which Is completely normal and harmless, but I can’t be sure with that picture.

yep it’s harmless. caused by moisture and temperature being beneficial to it. you can stir it in with a stick to get rid of it, that’s what I usually do. if the plant allows it you could also mulch, leca or just peat moss would work

A healthy soil should have fungus in it, so I wouldn’t sweat it. In fact some plants fair very poorly without certain soil fungi.

Daily watering is too frequent and you’re probably moistening only the soil top layer.
Try watering thoroughly the whole pot, that way you’ll have to water less frequently, keeping the top layer of soil dry for longer. That and the sun exposure (even if it’s minimal) will keep the mold under control if not kill it all.

Also, if you can, add some soil amendments to better its properties: aireation, water retention (not water logging), nutrient density and retention, …

Mold, and you will continue to have issues with it. There’s way too much dirt vs plant. Add more plants to pot or use smaller pots.
