I have looked at a couple videos and websites… but I'm at a loss on a final answer. Keep in mind my post is intended to be lighthearted. For reference I garden in Zone 6 A. Although I have never considered this plant a pest or invasive. I've become curious about exactly what it is. I see it all around this property. It's never been a nuisance and is quite easy to remove from my garden plot. Now I'm at an impasse because I've pondered and mused aloud… it's become a "faux" mystery in my shared home. lol. My partner requires a tie breaker , myself? Just curious. It would be nice to win our little bet.

Purslane- thicker stems of varying width compared to spurge, which have skinny uniform width stems

That is definitely purslane, I have both purslane and spurge growing in my yard and spurge doesn’t get nearly this thick but purslane does. The way the leaves cluster at the end of a branch also tells you purslane.
