I saw this beauty a week ago when it arrived at the store. I made myself wait because I just had a battle with mealies and aphids on my other plants, and told myself that if it was still there in a week I would get it. Well one day shy of a week and I needed to go to the grocery store. I figured I'd check for it and get it if it was still there, but to my dismay, it was nowhere in sight, just very similar plants without the wavey leaves . I was about to give up hope and cut my losses when I saw a spot of green under the stands. I bent down and there it was!!!! I had to get on my hands and knees to get it, clearly someone else spotted it want wanted it as well, but I found the hideout!

It's now in isolation awaiting repotting. Any tips for a beginner Alocasia owner? Also, plant ID app said this was "Elephant Ear," aka, "Alocasia mortfontanensis." Is that correct or can anyone identify it as something else?
