My habanero, Jeff, has been healthy up until recently. I've noticed leaves falling off and just assumed it was aging but then newer younger leaves have been falling (about one or two leaves a day). Assumed it was a watering or fertilization issue but nothings changed so far.

Then I took a closer look at the leaves and this is how the affected leaves look right now and I can't pinpoint what the cause is with google searching the symptoms. Main guess right now is thrips due the little black dots on the underside but I can't seem to see any on the plant anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated. I want to get him healthy again.

Those tiny, pale yellow slivers on the leaf could be thrips — I have a plant with similar damage, and I found the first actual thrips today. I’ve never dealt with them before, but I’m planning on following the regimen from [this video](https://youtu.be/PUjftM56ghs). We’ll see how it goes. Good luck!

Yup I think thrips based on the small black poop dots and yeah you said in the other comment you saw the devils.

I had the same issue made the mistake of bringing another plant from garden center and tried to put under grow light with peppers w/o even thinking to quarantine it before.

So I had aphids and thrips issue but I think luckily I got them early enough to religiously manually squish the fuckers each day for few weeks.

Then lastly still was not enough so I ended up hardening off the mature pepper plants outdoors and so far nature has taken care of them spiders moved in, etc and haven’t had an issue since. No chemicals needed.

The plants now have about 30-40 baby peppers fruits and I’m excited. I hope the best for you!
