It’s Laura Eubanks of Design for Serenity and it is the grand reveal of phase three in Santi. And oh my goodness, what a glorious grand reveal it is. These, you know me, I’m always going on and on and on and about trees and messy trees and messy trees, but this is the honeymoon. You know, we’ve got it all cleaned up. up. There’s no detritis from the olive and it’s just so restful and so beautiful. Um I do love working with existing mature landscape. It makes my heart happy. Look at all of these beautiful tansas and Spanish moss hanging from this tree. It just gives such undersea vibes, doesn’t it? We used uh Cali Gold, a 3/8, and a basket of Baja Cresta rubble along with, you know, more um uh Baja Cresta boulder and honey quartz. And we’re able to, you know, solve a couple of little problems here. Well, not really problems, but we have our irrigation valves and we wanted to create a beautiful little um you know, dry stack retention behind those so they’d stay exposed. Then we took these little pavers and laid them down for hose access. Our client bought a new hose reel. So, this just looks so clean and tidy. This also enabled us to create some elevations that are so interesting. I really want you to see this whole garden from my perspective. So I am behind the camera now. This just turned out so beautifully. We had this little area here was phase one and then we came back and did the center island as phase two and then 4 days on phase three. This is so awesome right here, isn’t it? the pomegranate tree and the beautiful rose bush kind of giving just a little bit not so much delineation. Um we don’t need delineation between the phase 2 and phase three but there’s so much perennial here still with the Cecil Bruner roses and the pride of madiraa and the olive trees and the rosemary and the buganveia. They have such great bones here and so many existing things. And this speaks to that right here. And it’s ties in the entire yard, which is magic. I’m so thankful that this these were here. This is not in planned. We got really lucky there. Oh my goodness. Oh, and our our cats. You’re probably wondering about the cat’s tail aloe that Matt brought from Rare Roots. When we went to plant it, the head was so heavy, it snapped right off. So, I had to turn around and plant this as a cutting, which is fine. Not a big deal, but it was a little bit shocking. Okay, then we have over here the alo dicotama. You know, this is going to get real tall. And I didn’t want to plant it where it would be competing with the olive tree. I wanted it to be able to, you know, climb and do its thing unimpeded. So, I’m real happy with that. We have a mission to Mars Mangave and an Aztec king. Now, in this garden, another plant that did remarkably well here in inland San Diego County is the pedalanthis macro carpus. Bye everybody. Bye Hannah. Bye Omar. Bye Kevin. Bye Miguel. Bye Lily. And there’s Richard. Rick, our fantastic client, and Greg. Hi, Greg. Oh my goodness. Thank you so much, Rick, for allowing us to come and work our magic in your garden. Oh, no. It’s my pleasure. We appreciate you so much. Well, thank you. But I you you uh demonstrated your magic and then I just couldn’t help myself that I keep having you come back and back. What did you say? We were like uh drug dealers. Drug dealers. Well, you you bought you you hooked me on the first time and then I kept spending and spending and keep going. Keep going. So, yeah. You know, your mouth to God God’s ears, my friend. That’s right. Exactly. All right. So, yes, we are um wrapping it up. Oh, I did want to show you guys Richard is going to do some work on his own. He wants to try his hand at this. So, under this olive tree, we staged plants for him and he wanted to pull some of his terracotta pots in. So, we went ahead and planted the pots out for him and brought dumped him some rubble. Uh, so this is all ready. What he’s going to do here is he’s going to sink the plants just how we’ve staged them. And then he’s going to irrigate the plants. And then he is going to top dress with the same Cali gold. And then he will work in his rubble. So he’s got his work cut out for him. Over here around this fountain. What I suggested that he do since we have so much going on everywhere around it is to take the river rock, the Arizona river rock and sunburst pebble like we see around the base of the fountain and just lay down some weed fabric and then just cover this area in river rock. Because guys, what are the three Rs? rocks, repetition, and yep, restrained. So, I feel like this area restrained with just the fountain and the rose bush will be absolutely stunning. So, that’s his job, too, is to lay weed barrier fabric cuz since there’s no plants in here, you might as well, right? Um, he also has a little bit of nut grass sedge, nut sge, which is terrifying. So, um, the weed fabric will be very helpful with that. Then he’s just going to pop in his river rock here and he’ll be all set. Over here he’s got this beautiful display too of hydrangeanger. Those gorgeous. I’ve learned that hydrangeanger like to be planted on the north side of the house. So there’s a tip for you if you are interested in hydrangeanger. And yeah guys, so that’s uh that’s my story. It’s so wonderful to be back. Oh, and an update on Greg. His knee is much better. He took a fall in the garage. Um, and he fell right on his bad knee, but uh, after a couple of days of rest and stretching, um, he’s he’s much much better. So, thank you all so much for your kind words of comfort, he appreciated that. We love you guys and we will catch you on the next one. Bye.

I envy this beautiful garden thank you Laura❤❤
Just so beautiful. Im always amazed at how you pull things together.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Wow, wow, wow! What a spectacular garden to look at! It IS addictive! 😅 FYI, the dwarf Pomegranate and Rose, are a transition point… to the rest of the magic. I would get up early to see this garden… at the crack of dawn. Oh, oh, oh!
What a beauty it turned out! Just imagining a morning stroll with a cup of coffee admiring every inch of it! Good luck to Richard on his next do it yourself phase! Maybe you can go back and post a video on how it turns out!
🙋
To me, the pomegranate and rosebush give a place for the eyes to rest.
Such a gorgeous installation! Thanks for sharing!
Looks amazing like always, I can’t believe he still has more yard 😆
His water bill is going to drop a lot. It must've been sky high. I think this place is a showstopper. The way you blended the olive trees , persimmon tree, and rose bushes, with the succulents, rocks, and top dressing, makes this visually impossible to ever tire of.
Beautiful work, as always. Might there be a phase 4?
It looks soooo goood!
Amazing 🤩 ☀️ 🌵 ☀️ 🌵 xxx
So beautiful! I’m envious!! I would like to live in that climate.the cacti and succulents I have I have to bring them into the garage during winter 😅.
I will never tire of your talent. 😊
Hi Laura, beautiful garden and plants!🥰🥰🥰
I love love love the end product. Show stopper indeed
Hello Laura.
As always, your creations are sumptuous. I am in the process of creating my own small dry garden at home, inspired by your work. As I live in New Caledonia in a subtropical zone with a tendency to be dry (very dry) for part of the year, I cannot have the same diversity of plants as you in the ground. For climatic reasons, I also think, because some plants are not available here (I would love to have the burning sticks, for example, we only have the green version, depressing). So I created a 3/4 grow bed made up of a foot and a half high gravel to drain tropical rains. I have installed some beautiful specimens that I found. I have a question, however. Do you have any idea how old the plants you use as tapestry elements are? I am in the process of creating a small nursery to enrich my dry garden and I am starting with fairly small cuttings. I would like to know if I will have to wait long to obtain plants as beautiful as those you install for your customers.
Thank you again for sharing and your enthusiasm. I would love to come and admire some of your creations.
Looks amazing! Will you show how the client did on his own?
My favorite drug dealing lol
Looks gorgeous, as usual. It will be fun to see what the owner does in the rest of the yard when your team is back to do maintenance 😊😊😊😊
Thanks Laura!
so beautiful! 😃👍🏾
It’s so beautiful and zen
Great job on the hose!
He reminds me of Tom Jesh! The owner looks so happy!
Richard will realize how hard you worked when he tries it by himself!

I love it! Hydrangeas in Santee? What a lucky guy.
This is an awesome garden and Im glad Greg is on the mend.❤
Soooo beautiful ❤❤❤❤
I really liked how you arranged the little pavers next to the hose. Simple yet elegant treatment there. Genius! It will be interesting to see the homeowners work and how this garden evolves. I like the mix of “regular” plants with the cacti/succulents. You have a gift!
aaaah the client is such a nice guy. This is beautiful!
Looks fabulous!
Nutgrass is the worst! Nutsedge spray helps too! Consistency is key.
