Fixed with black duct tape. Guess should be good for another 20 years.

You will want to repair this properly. You don’t want a rock cruising through a window or siding.

What about a metal shop near you? I cracked my mower by the discharge chute and thought it would be an arm and a leg. It was $15 last year.

It was a five minute job. Sometimes you can get lucky. Worth calling around if the mower still runs well

Eventually no matter how hard we try every thing reaches an end of life scenario. Sorry for your loss

I’d add a 2nd layer of gorilla tape just to make sure, but than again I’m a sissy

That is an easy bondo fix. My 25 yr old is held together with it. Still running strong with a Honda engine.

That’s gonna launch a rock or stick. If you’re lucky it’ll just break a window.

Metal mesh on the outside and body filler all over both sides. Sand it smooth on the inside after and it’ll be as good as new.

It’s not worth fixing. If your seeing that on outside good chance that underneath the baffles are worn out or getting thin. Unless you are handy with tools and motor is good . U probably could ask your local lawnmower sales guy for a mower that owner junked. Might get lucky and find good deck and premature blown motor .
