I do this for some plants, but not all, quart rotation once in a few days’ while.
If it is to get even or straight growth, then go for it. Just FYI, a plant will use a certain amount of energy to turn towards the light, energy that could’ve been used for growth or energy storage.
Fx I do not do this to my monstera, but my coleus gets all crooked and weird if I don’t.

Man, I really need a swear jar for every time someone casually posts a photo with a thriving prayer plant in the background haha

I have a couple of plants high up on a shelf(because my cat likes to chew on them)
Most days I lift them and put them on my window sill to get some more sunlight.
Should I not be doing this?
One is a maidenhead fern and the other is a bengal fig.

one of the reasons you do a quarter turn instead is that it makes the plant grow more evenly. it works better if you do it before they lean so much to one side. some people do it every time they water. I do it every time i notice new growth on the sun side.

I just got a PTSD flashback from seeing your plant stand. My 89 year old nana just had me order her one similar that holds 10 plants. The box was comically small when it came and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened it to find essentially Lincoln Logs you had to build piece by piece. It was way easier than I thought but the noise drove me nuts.
