Not even 100% sure what the species is but definitely been my easiest air plant to keep happy. Ionantha x brachycaulos maybe? Hasn’t bloomed in the year I’ve owned it so going to be interesting to watch what happens, very surprised with the pup

Was someone else watering it?? If not then maybe I’m soaking mine too often.

I’m concerned in the winter next year when I’ll be gone for 14 days….going to give mine good soaks and put them in their holders on top of a tray filled with pebbles and water. Hoping that will do the trick. Don’t think I’ll be getting any pups though, lol…just hoping they will be ok. Congrats!

Huh, I didn’t know airplants could produce pups without blooming first! Good to know.

Could be ionantha rubra or fuego. Some airplants do pup before they bloom it’s so interesting! I have a caput medusae with a spike that hasn’t bloomed and it already has a huge pup lol!
