Is this a weed? I can pull on these and they don’t budge. Is it a tree root? What can I use to kill it without killing my grass! Thanks!

This is the best stuff that will target the weeds and not the grass. Plus it is one of the only herbicides I found that can be used when the temperature is above 90°

Hand picked as much as possible then use a liquid weed and feed

I have these too and am also curious. I’ve dug down and they appear to come from bulbous knots along thick roots.

It kind of looks like tree shoots. Is it possible you have recently cut down a tree within a few feet of there?

Wild violet. Hard to eradicate. Use triclopyr

These grow by my oak trees, just try to keep them mowed and I ignore them otherwise. But they’ll grow into a thick set of bushes if you let em.

Elm trees? They have strong roots.
