I’ve grow that wheat, and yes the colour does develop as the grain matures.

Your arborvitae are so nice in the background . I am wondering if yours get attacked by bag worms where you live? Do you spray them every spring like I have to in my humid climate? Also how difficult is it to spray the thick dense areas effectively ? Look forward to seeing your fall crops /sunflowers bloom.

Then the unboxing they all look so gorgeous. I want to fast forward to see you plan and plant , but I can wait because it’s worth it.
Uk going into another heatwave, although to be honest it just been super warm since March and hardly any rain , I don’t want to complain….. but we are not prepared for this , last year and most years we are lucky to get 5 days with sun and heat so air conditioning is not a thing .

I’m so curious why y’all choose boxwoods over any other type of hedging. Are they easier to care for than most or just a fan of how they look? You guys love them so much we got one as an accent shrub to try it out

I grew blue wheat two years ago (Oregon, 8b) and my wheat was very vibrant blue! I used it to decorate thanksgiving table 😊

I wish I liked boxwoods but I just hate the maintenance. I pick plants now on the least amount of maintenance possible. I’m just getting too old to get out and keep up managing all that trimming. Just not my jam anymore. I love to watch all your videos and I wish I could do what I used to, but that’s life! Making the most of what I can do.
