My mom has had this empty pot with an inch or two of dirt sitting in it, untouched, for the better part of two months, and this popped up while she was out of town. This is in her front entryway, where we do have lantanas of all colors, hibiscus, and a few flowering natives, but nothing like this! A reverse image search says it’s a variety of Moss Rose, which we used to have about a year ago. Could a seed or something stuck around, and reproduced a variation? We only had solid colors.

It’s definitely Portulaca, moss rose.
The plant identification apps I use say wingpod purslane.
