I bought this air plant two days ago. It was the type that has a shell glued on to look like a jellyfish, but the shell had fallen, so I got a discount. Anyway, the base wasn't so dark and red when I got it. Is the color change a problem?
I just removed the glue, gave it a 25 minute soak, and hung it outside. Nothing strange.

Just looks like it needs water to me. Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination though.
Anytime mine flips upside-down they tend to die. Maybe its just me but putting itright side up might help
The name is on the tip of my tongue, I can’t quite think of it but this type of air plant specifically is suppose to be dark on the bottom, it’s naturally that way. Don’t worry about it. I have one like it. Il see if I can search up the name
