I got Leonard, my Meyer lemon tree around half a year ago, and he has never been very happy with me. Gradually over the months, he has been losing his leaves and now he almost has no more leaves šŸ™

He has been flowering and smells very nice, and I think that’s to the credit of Jack’s fertilizer mix.

I water him around 1-2 times a week and I put him in direct sunlight for 8+ hours. I don’t see any signs of pests (that I know of) but his leaves are droopy and some have yellow veins.

I suspect I don’t give him good drainage? Is this root rot? And how do i save poor Leonard? He is one of my first plants so this is a bit new to me.

Thank you!

I think he’s putting out too many flowers because he’s trying to produce lots of lemons, but I would pick at least half of those flowers off to make him push out more growth of the leaves šŸ™‚
