Sorry about the new Bermuda lawn. You really should sharpen your blades though. 🙁

You just became a warm season lawn enthusiast.

In the south we call that grass, anywhere else you call it Bermuda and you burn it with fire.
Like others said, best of wishes with your new lawn type.

Bermuda. Fusilade II plus Recognition is the only answer as far as I know. It’s a bit pricey. DoMyOwn has a package that includes them both for $125

I have a st Aug Bermuda mix. Where the sun beats down all day is Bermuda and where shade blocks the sun in the afternoon is st Aug. I love it actually it’s always green and perfect. Just gotta keep up with the crabs

Selective post-emergent grass herbicides
Fluazifop (Fusilade II) is a “grass-only” herbicide that will kill Bermuda but is safe on St. Augustine when used at label rates.
Sethoxydim (Poast) – another grass-specific herbicide is effective on bermuda and tolerated by St. Augustine.
Clethodim (Envoy® or generics) – works similarly; spot-treat patches of Bermuda.

Like everyone else said, it’s Bermuda, I have it in my st.augustine too. I’ve always been told that it’s specifically wild Bermuda..not sure what the difference is between the types. I had Provista st.augustine installed so I could spray the invading Bermuda with glyphosate and not worry about killing my lawn. Since I doubt you have glypho resistant st.augustine, I’ve heard using recognition mixed with quinclorac, but you need to be very careful applying it cause it can still damage the st.augustine.

I say embrace having both. Two grass is better than no grass. I have both growing in my backyard and I mow it high for the st Augustine and the Bermuda basically just fills it out especially in certain areas. It’s great imo.
And the meme of saying enjoy your new Bermuda lawn is always kinda misleading lol it ain’t taking over your st Augustine – it’s just gonna spread between it really

Leave your blade up high. It may get choked out. Probably not though.
