I found a bin of old cracked corn in the corner of the barn that I think is infested with weevils. I was thinking about giving a scoop to the chickens every now and then. We're new to having chickens and they are 8 weeks old, so not sure if that would be a treat for them? Dangerous or unhealthy?
Or should I just throw it out or compost it?
Any advice would be great! It's not a big problem. I thought it could be nice for the girls but didn't want to make a mistake.

That looks like chicken feed right there.
Protein, I am sure the birds love it but I would use it sooner than later.
Chickens go nuts for the weevils

I feed it to my chickens!
Weevils are food quality issue not a food safety issue. Unless the feed has become moldy or smells rancid.

The weevils are on that crack corn again? Shucks. Sad to see them fall off the wagon.
You must always choose the lesser of two weevils
fwiw weevils are harmless, just annoying
Weevils are chicken food. All bugs are chicken food. They’ll love it.
Chickens will love this
This is fine. But when we used to use it to make liquor, we’d just throw it in the deep freeze for a few days to keep the weevils out. The chickens won’t mind though.
Chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens chickens
Prime chicken food
Chicken in the corn
Burn it. If it’s really old mycotoxins can develop in the corn and be lethal to your chickens.
Don’t give all . Save some and grow your own chicken snacks.
