One of the highlights on the recent Markethill Community Festival was the Open Garden event, hosted by Lorraine and Dale Hawthorne. The event attracted large crowds to admire the beautiful gardens and impressive planting displays.
The Open Garden, which ran across two days, was a great success, with many visitors enjoying the peaceful setting while supporting nominated charities NMDA Northern Ireland and Special Olympics Ireland.
Speaking about the event Festival Chair Pippa Sterritt praised the hosts and community, saying, “It’s wonderful to see so many people coming together to enjoy the gardens and support such worthwhile causes.”
A special guest at the event was the Lord Mayor of Armagh, Stephen Moutray.
