Crosthwaite Open Gardens 2025: A Village in Bloom will take place on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, opening up the villages gardens for visitors and locals to enjoy.
The event is organised by Crosthwaite C.E. Primary School and will run from 10am-4pm each day, raising money for Parkinsons UK, Crosthwaite Argles Memorial Hall, and Crosthwaite and Lyth Recreation Trust.
Headteacher of Crosthwaite Primary School, Matthew Jessop said: “The spectacular open gardens event will showcase the breathtaking beauty of our community and surrounding areas.”
As well as offering a chance to explore the gardens in the village, the weekend will offer demonstrations of traditional crafts including hedge-laying and drystone walling, children’s activities, plant sales, and a craft fair running throughout the day on Saturday.

There is free parking available from 9.45am throughout the event, with a minibus service also in operation.
Tickets cost from £6 and are available to book through Eventbrite.
