This is my self built closed terrarium and is about one month old. I am happy with water levels and have a happy and growing population of spring tails however the tallest plant seems to be being overtaken by a white mold and a cobweb mold on the leaves that grows back very quickly and is not being touched by the springtails. Should I cut this plant out and get another one or is it savable?

Its coniferous and is likely being affected by adverse conditions within your terrarium such as potential waterlogging
Not the sort of plant that can survive being in a terrarium. Unfortunately it is already dead since I suspect the roots and trunk are damaged. Consider replacing it with a fittonia or something similar.
It’s dead/dying, maybe replace it with Selaginella – should be more appropriate to your growing conditions.
You need to remove it as this sort of plant isn’t suitable for enclosed terrariums. It’s all a learning curve anyway. Just replace with a more terrarium friendly plant 🪴 like asparagus fern 💚💚💚
Yeah, remove it. Regardless of mold, it was doomed. That plant is not a good match for a terrarium, plus conifers need a ton of sunlight.
A fittonia would be good there instead. Or wait and the lemon button fern will send a runner out. (If I’m judging the scale correctly, that button fern will get taller) Or just some other plant, but make sure it’s a plant appropriate for a terrarium. Aluminum plants are tall, but kinda lanky. A small red begonia or ripple pepperomia could look good.
