I have had this airplant since a couple of months, i am watering it, it does not look dead to me (i think) but it also seems to be doing nothing like no roots. What am I doing wrong and what can I do to make it grow? Thanks in advance.

Air plants only grow roots to anchor themselves to trees. Only about 10% of my air plants have roots. Air plants are also slow growers in general.

Just make sure that you are letting it completely dry out upside down to prevent rot.

As mentioned, not all air plants have roots and root growth is not necessary for an air plant to thrive. They get their nutrients through their leaves. 🪴

I noticed the leaf tips are burned. Is it getting too much sun? What time of day, how often do you water it? It seems healthy, otherwise 🙂.

The trick with hydration is to let them completely dry out in between waterings. Make sure it gets fresh air and air flow on a regular basis. There are mixed views on fertilizing air plants. It is not necessary, but I find it useful.

Good luck! Enjoy your plant 💚.
