I struggle with dollar spot every year. I like to keep my grass short with a reel type mower. I know this stresses it. I’ve applied a lot of compost in the past with some temporary effects. My lawn guy who applies weed control (and never enough fertilizer) told me about Milorgante and I’m a believer. I put down a bag of that stinky stuff and a thin layer of compost. This combo has virtually eliminated the pesky dollar spot on my Bermuda. Now I just have to mow every 5 days as the growth is explosive.

good information for a clown in here who said its over rated.
Microbes FTW! I also apply sifted Black Kow when Fungicides fails
The compost is fantastic and the most underrated addition you can make for a healthy lawn (it’s also a lot more work than just spreading fertilizer!!) and if your lawn needs the relatively high phosphorus fertilizer, then boom, good growth and strong grass. (Warm season grass in general needs more P than cool season, but it’s absolutely crucial to not over apply it and be the asshole that contributes to toxic algae buildup in local waterways!
Milogranite is still relatively overpriced for what it is (and it makes sense, it’s heavy with low nitrogen %, thus more $ to transport), but if your lawn is needs slow release nitrogen and is missing phosphorus, it’s fantastic!
Huh my lawn has areas that look exactly like that
So maybe I have dollar spot too…
Sir, this is a sub for lawns not putting greens
👌
Milorganite did nothing to solve your problems. All you did was give it dirty poop based, pfas laden, phosphorous leeching fertilizer….that youtube pushes like it’s the greatest thing, because it doesn’t burn.
These are people who don’t understand why it doesn’t burn, and how there are other alternatives that work better and safer, and for less money.
So your telling me that Nitrogen helped suppressed a disease that thrives on low nitrogen scenarios. Fascinating.
You can spread a heavy compost layer and Bermuda will rip. It’s like the slowest release of nutrients but strong and steady for the whole season. It’s messy for a few weeks but the grass runs with it.
