So the main plant will start to die now because it’s fruited, pineapples are bromeliads so you might get some pups I’m not too sure, all I know is how I made my pineapple plant, I cut the top off a shop bought pineapple, made notches in the right places and sat it in some soil. Regular watering and lots of sunshine and my baby is 4 years old and 5 feet tall.

beautiful! do you know what type it is? i once got an unusual white pineapple from a co op and we planted it and it grew a very tiny cute pineapple that size.

Put it OUTSIDE! Water every single day. But make sure drainage is good. I got one about 6 years ago and I still have the base. Trying to get a ratoon. I planted the top of the pineapple after I ate it and it started to give me a little fruit but it was killed when I moved homes 😭

I think by its nature it’s on its way out as it fruited but enjoy it while you have it!💚

I got mine in a grocery store too. Just been watering it when I remember to. Seems to be ok. I gave it is own plant light.

  9. As others have said it as a bromeliad, and it will only grow this pineapple once. If you leave it in the pot several years later, you will have plenty more bromeliads, but none of them will fruit. I’ve had mine about 4 years and there’s about 6 bromeliads in the pot now, the original stem from the original fruit is still sticking out of one of the bromeliads, but the other bromeliads have just filled out the pot.
