Hi all, Today during a storm a branch fell from our neighbor’s tree. It wasn’t particularly windy so we were surprised, and it’s not the first branch to fall in the last 6 months or so. I took a photo of inside the branch – Does the coloring look concerning? It’s a really large tree and we’re worried something might be wrong.
Additional context, It had a ton of ivy growing on it (beneath the canopy) which we just recently cut/killed. Any advice is appreciated!

Very normal for a Douglas Fir to loose a branch in high winds. This branch does have an old wound in it but that can’t tell you anything about the condition of the rest of the tree.
