I built up one corner to hangout in already but I’m really at a loss of creativity of what to do with the other concrete side. Any ideas would be great!

I would probably remove 2/3 of the concrete at least.

I saw someone post here with a yard like that full of succulents and cacti in pots all along the fence. Anything in pots all around the edges will bring color in. Maybe some shelving on the fence for more plants?

If I could afford it, I would remove the pavement. Alternatively you could do potted plants but those would definitely require more water and maintenance than in ground. Ideally I would prefer no concrete since it prevent water from infiltrating the soil.

The concrete area is weed free!

You could install a couple of those corrugated metal raised beds along the fence— 1’x12’ sections.

Nandina is tall and leafy and does well in part shade.
San Pedro cactus does well in part shade .

You can paint the concrete with deck stain to add some color . Hang some ornamental iron work on the fence.

  5. Plants in pots, small water fall, moss. Seating area
