Found these on a Maple (Acer saccharinum) here in Germany, structure doesn’t match with any native gall wasp, nor with the maple gall mite. Any ideas?

  1. I’m suspecting a mite, but can’t get any ID. I’ve looked through iNaturalist and it’s very probably not a wasp, none make these structures and there’s no larvae inside. Doesn’t match maple gall mites either, those usually produce reddish protrusion that aren’t connected to the leaf with a “stalk” like in this case. Googling for it has been entirely unhelpful.

Also, apologies for the bad pictures, caught my eyes in a park when the sun had already set.
