What’s the goal? If you kill the weeds youll have a bare spot. The grass will have a tough time growing under pines which is often why people mulch below them. A concern is that you say roundup didn’t kill them. Either you messed up and didn’t apply it right or you have a bunch of roundup resistant weeds
